Leadership is best assessed by measurable results rather than political sentiments. Over the past three years, Gov Sheriff Oborevwori has continued to translate the vision of the M.O.R.E Agenda into tangible projects that are impacting communities across Delta State.
From the construction and rehabilitation of roads to the execution of major bridge projects, the simultaneous construction of multiple flyovers, improvements in healthcare delivery, investments in human capital development, employment creation, and the strengthening of peace and security, the administration has maintained a steady focus on development.
These projects are visible across the three senatorial districts and continue to improve the quality of life for many Deltans.
Yet, despite these achievements, there are critics who remain unwilling to acknowledge the progress being made. Rather than evaluate the administration based on completed projects and ongoing initiatives, they concentrate almost exclusively on areas where work has not yet commenced or is still in progress. Constructive criticism is an important part of democracy, but refusing to recognize genuine accomplishments simply because of political differences does little to advance public discourse.
Interestingly, many of these same voices are quick to celebrate similar infrastructural achievements in other states. They readily applaud the construction of flyovers and road networks elsewhere, yet remain silent when comparable or even more ambitious projects are undertaken in Delta State. Such selective recognition raises questions about whether their criticism is driven by objective assessment or political bias.
Gov Oborevwori's decision to embark on the construction of five flyover projects simultaneously reflects a significant commitment to addressing the state's transportation challenges and expanding critical infrastructure. Combined with numerous road and bridge projects spread across the state, these initiatives demonstrate an administration determined to leave a lasting developmental footprint.
Despite persistent criticism, Gov Oborevwori has remained focused on governance rather than distractions. His administration continues to pursue policies and projects aimed at improving the welfare of citizens while advancing the objectives of the M.O.R.E Agenda.
Gov Oborevwori has taken it upon himself to uplift the Welfare of the Civil Servants by Institutionalizing 13 months salary for Civil Servants and has also made progressive efforts to boost the transport Sector. No doubt the M.O.R.E Agenda Is truly on course.
Ultimately, history is shaped by the impact leaders make and the legacy they leave behind. While opinions may differ and political debates will continue, development is most meaningfully judged by evidence on the ground and we can see in Delta State development is unprecedented and Deltans are happy with the Oborevwori's led administration
As more projects are completed and communities experience their benefits, the record of the Oborevwori administration will continue to be evaluated by the people of Delta State through the tangible outcomes of its policies and programmes and as we speak, Deltans has evaluated this administration and has applauded the developmental strides of this administration.
